The Laurel Public Works Department works in a continuing effort to support the community in a constantly evolving and growing city infrastructure. Our goal is to ensure an unsurpassed quality of life and to provide dependable, knowledgeable staff to serve the community. Currently, we are resolving many public work issues associated with a growing population. Current projects include the expansion of the wastewater treatment plant, remodeling of the water treatment plant, city refuse growth, upgrading and expanding sewer and water supply and distribution lines, park expansion, and upgrading streets and public right-of-ways.
